2028 Worldcon Site Selection Voting Opens

Voting is now open to select the site of the 2028 Worldcon. All members of the 2026 Worldcon, LAcon V (except single-day members) are eligible to vote upon payment of $50, which will make the voters WSFS members (formerly known as supporting members) of the 2028 Worldcon regardless of who is selected to host the 2028 Worldcon.

You can vote online or by paper ballot. See the LAcon V Site Selection Voting Instructions website to learn how to vote. Voting will happen online, by paper ballot, and in person at LAcon V. The results of the election will be announced at an in-person WSFS Business Meeting at LAcon V

Although the Nuremberg in 2028 Worldcon Bid withdrew their bid on May 31, 2026, they will appear on the ballot. The only other bid that filed the necessary papers with LACon V is Brisbane in 2028, and they are also on the ballot. Other bids can file as write-in bids until the close of voting at LAcon V. You can also vote for None of the Above. Should None of the Above win, the site of the 2028 Worldcon will be decided by the WSFS Business Meeting held in person at LAcon V.

The election is being conducted by LAcon V, the 2026 Worldcon. Voting is not conducted by the worldcon.org website. Contact LAcon V with any questions about the election.
